Lion City Grading (LCG) – Submission Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: [1st July 2026]

Welcome to Lion City Grading ("LCG", "we", "our", or "us"). By purchasing our grading services or submitting any collectible card or item for grading, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.


1. Submission Eligibility

By submitting any item to LCG, you confirm that:

  • You are the legal owner of the submitted item, or have full authority to submit it.

  • The information provided during submission is accurate and complete.

  • The submitted item is genuine to the best of your knowledge.

  • The item has not been intentionally altered, restored or modified unless declared during submission.

LCG reserves the right to refuse any submission at its sole discretion.


2. Submission Process

Customers must:

  1. Purchase the grading service through our website.

  2. Complete the official LCG Submission Form.

  3. Package the cards according to our submission guidelines.

  4. Send the cards using an approved shipping method or deliver them via appointment.

Current accepted methods:

  • SingPost Tracked Mail

  • Appointment Drop-Off

Walk-ins are not accepted.


3. Packaging Requirements

Customers are responsible for ensuring their cards are properly protected before shipment.

Recommended packaging:

  • Penny Sleeve

  • Semi-Rigid Holder or Top Loader

  • Team Bag

  • Bubble Wrap

  • Rigid shipping box

LCG is not responsible for damage occurring before the package is received due to inadequate packaging.


4. Chain of Custody

Upon receipt, LCG may perform the following:

  • Photograph unopened package

  • Photograph package opening

  • Record submission contents

  • Scan front and back of each card

  • Record identifying characteristics

  • Assign internal tracking records

  • Store digital records

These records form part of LCG's permanent chain of custody.


5. Authentication

LCG performs authentication using proprietary methods, computer vision, digital imaging and professional inspection.

Authentication represents LCG's professional opinion based on current knowledge and available technology.

No authentication process can guarantee detection of every counterfeit or alteration.


6. AI-Assisted Grading

LCG may utilise:

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Computer Vision

  • High-resolution scanning

  • Digital image analysis

  • Machine learning

  • Multi-angle lighting analysis

to assist the grading process.

Final grades are assigned using LCG's proprietary grading methodology and quality assurance procedures.


7. Grading Opinion

All grades issued by LCG represent our professional opinion at the time of grading.

Grading is inherently subjective.

LCG does not guarantee that another grading company will assign the same grade.

Grades should not be interpreted as guarantees of future market value.


8. Digital Twin

Each graded card may include a permanent digital record containing:

  • High-resolution front scan

  • High-resolution back scan

  • Inspection images

  • Defect analysis

  • Grading report

  • QR verification

  • Serial number

  • Grading metadata

These records remain the property of LCG.


9. Declared Value

Customers must declare the approximate market value of each submitted item.

Declared value is used for:

  • Insurance purposes (where applicable)

  • Shipping purposes

  • Service level determination

Declared value does not influence grading.


10. Customer Property

Submitted cards remain the property of the customer.

LCG will exercise reasonable care while cards are in our possession.

Cards are stored securely throughout the grading process.


11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LCG's liability shall not exceed the lesser of:

  • The customer's declared value;

  • Any insurance purchased through LCG;

  • The maximum amount recoverable under LCG's applicable insurance policy; or

  • The amount required by applicable law.

LCG shall not be liable for:

  • Normal ageing

  • Existing manufacturing defects

  • Hidden defects

  • Print defects

  • Market value fluctuations

  • Consequential or indirect losses


12. Customer Fraud Prevention

To protect both customers and LCG:

  • All submissions may be photographed.

  • Package opening may be recorded.

  • Digital scans may be retained permanently.

  • Serial numbers and identifying characteristics may be recorded.

LCG reserves the right to refuse service or pursue appropriate legal remedies where fraudulent submissions, false claims or deceptive conduct are identified.


13. Turnaround Time

Estimated turnaround times are published on our website.

These are estimates only.

Delays may occur due to:

  • High submission volumes

  • Authentication requirements

  • Quality control

  • Equipment maintenance

  • Public holidays

  • Events beyond our control


14. Returns & Refunds

Once grading has commenced, grading services are non-refundable.

Refund requests prior to commencement of grading may be considered at LCG's discretion.

15. Reholder Service

LCG may offer reholder services where:

  • Slabs are damaged

  • Labels require correction

  • Encapsulation replacement is required

Applicable fees may apply.


16. Shipping

Return shipping is available as an optional service.

Customers may also choose appointment collection.

Risk during outbound shipment passes to the shipping carrier once the parcel has been handed over for dispatch.


17. Intellectual Property

All grading reports, grading methodologies, grading scales, software, AI systems, images, digital records, QR verification systems, trademarks, logos and website content remain the exclusive intellectual property of Lion City Grading unless otherwise stated.


18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

Any dispute arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore Courts.


19. Changes to These Terms

LCG reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice.

The latest version will always be published on our website.
